It looked so official even down to the bottom where it says “sent by Career Builder”, but it’s a scam. How do I know? If you check the “From” – the send is using a Hotmail – FREE account. The reply to is still yet a FREE account.
There are also other discrepancies, such as the email comes from Emily, in the first paragraph the sender says his name is Kevin, we’re supposed to send an email back to R Decker, and the email is ended by Edward Hopper.
It may sound and look legitimate by all rights, but the grammar in some places could really use some work. The tasks include deposits, money transfers. The biggest tip off for me is that supposedly the scammer wants me to think this is an official email from Career Builder and Job Poster, well, wouldn’t I have to have something posted at either or both of those sites for Career builder to have contacted ME? I don’t have a resume posted anywhere online or offline. These scammers are phishing for ‘victims’.
